My name is MikelAnna Hill (just FYI it's pronounced "Michael" Anna!) and I was born and raised in Columbus, GA. I am a product of the Muscogee County School District as I attended Blanchard Elementary, Blackmon Road Middle School and Columbus High School during my years of schooling. I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary Education from Columbus State University. Then, I went back to CSU and obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Accomplished Teaching. Last year, I also completed my gifted certification courses. I plan to continue to further my education and will begin working towards my Specialist Degree this fall.
This year starts my 8th year in the classroom. That seems crazy to me because I feel that I just started! I have been blessed to be a part of the Columbus High School staff for my whole teaching career and honestly believe that there is no better place that I could work.

In addition to being a math teacher at CHS, I am also the Girls Tennis Coach. I get to spend January to May on the courts with my fabulous team. The girls have been very competitive the past few years and their hard work has resulted in 6 region championships, 2 state runner up title, and the 2016 5A State Championship title. Needless to say, the spring gets a little hectic for me and coffee becomes my best friend :)
